It is a full-length Hollywood movie called The Lion King. It was released in 1994 and it has won many awards. The story of the Lion King revolves around Simba, a lion cub who was born into a pride of lions ruled by the aging lioness, Mufasa. In order to take his rightful place as king one day, he bravely ventures outside the safety of Pride Rock to challenge Scar, Mufasa's brother and next in line for becoming king. But Scar has no intention to step down without a fight, and the lion cubs are forced into exile to save their lives. For Simba, the journey will be one of self-discovery. He is introduced to Timon, a meerkat who is looking for a companion, and Pumbaa, an intelligent warthog who tends to stick his nose in everything. Together they travel through the jungle where they meet Rafiki the mandrill, who teaches Simba about "The Circle of Life." But Simba faces more than just struggle as he tries to find his way home. Along the way, he is tested by his animal friends, the hyenas and an evil boar named Scar. These encounters soon lead to an epic battle with Scar. Through this journey Simba learns that sometimes the ones we love are the ones who hurt us the most. Simba goes through many trials during his journey, including dealing with his fear of water and trying to impress an over-protective lioness named Nala. He also faces danger from other animals that may not be as friendly as they seem. Finally, he faces off against Scar. Simba's father Mufasa becomes king after Scar dies in a fight at Pride Rock. He then appoints his young son Simba as prince. This makes Scar extremely jealous. He convinces Simba's friend Nala to run away with him. Then Scar tells Mufasa that Simba did it. Mufasa gets furious and sends his majordomo Zazu to find him, but Scar tricks Zazu into not believing Simba did it, so he is thrown out of the kingdom after being blamed for taking Nala. Simba, Timon and Pumbaa are banished from the Pride Lands by Mufasa for killing a wildebeest. Rather than turn back, Simba vows to find his friend Nala. Although humans refuse to believe Simba's story, the lionesses chief Kopa and Rafiki help him learn that Scar is trying to kill him in his sleep. Simba gets a job as a gopher for Uncle Max and lives with him until he comes to the conclusion that Nala is still alive.
